Getting Started Check List
The following is a guide to getting started for water skiing and wakeboarding on the Norfolk Broads Rivers. The Broads Authority (BA) has jurisdiction over 10 skiing zones on the rivers Yare and Waveney. Included is help for the use of this facility so that you can enjoy the privileges that come from sharing the rivers with other users.
Requirements: The Broads Authority has various requirements that are specifically relevant to waterskiing and wakeboarding. There are also general requirements that apply to all watercraft and users that have to be adhered to by us. The requirements are listed below in ’What you need’ below.

- Broads Registration
- Boat Safety Scheme Check – Every 5 Years
- Steering Check – Annual
- Insurance
- Noise and Wash Test – once only
Driver
- Eastern Rivers Ski Club Membership
- British Water Ski and Wakeboard Drivers Certificate
