COVID-19 GUIDANCE

EASTERN RIVERS WATER SKI CLUB COVID-19 GUIDANCE FOR SKIING ON THE NORFOLK BROADS

Any individual who is exhibiting any signs of Covid 19, or has a family member exhibiting any symptoms should not leave their home to ski, under any circumstances.

During skiing there should only be the driver and one observer in the boat, who are to maintain the maximum social distance possible between themselves, with no other spectators in the boat, unless they are all from the same household.

If any driver is changed then at changeover, the leaving driver must wipe down the steering wheel / keys / gear handle / boat side, windscreen and any other areas of contact with anti-bacterial spray/wipes (to be removed from the boat and disposed of safely by the leaving driver).

Good hand hygiene should be observed throughout with hand sanitiser and/or anti-bacterial wipes (to be disposed of safely by the individuals).

Try to use your own equipment where possible to avoid contact contamination.
If using shared equipment /handle then each skier should wipe all shared items down with anti-bacterial spray/wipes at the end of their ski (to be removed from the boat and disposed of safely by the leaving skier).

Skiers should stay within their skill level and comfort zone to avoid unnecessary risk of injury.
All skiing should be undertaken from the river bank and not from the boat, unless they are all from the same household.

If a skier has been on the back of boat then they must also wipe this down with anti-bacterial spray/wipes (to be removed from the boat and disposed of safely by the leaving skier).
Refrain from creating any gatherings and maintain social distancing at all times, whilst waiting to ski from the river bank.

Above all, you must limit contact with other people from outside your own household, keep a safe distance from others and ensure that you wash your hands the moment you get home.
